Q: Where can I get good, not expired rental car discount codes online?
I’m trying to rent a car @ BWI and the prices are absolutely ridiculous, almost $300.00 for 3 days on cars under midsize. Where can I get legitimate rental car discount codes or coupons online, within the next day? No Priceline.

Q: what really happens when you buy discount car parts?
I’m rebuilding an old corvette…usually either a high performance part is available, or a discount one. No in-between. Is there a real reason to pay 3-4 times as much for the same part if they’re both made in the US and have the same specifications?

A: Much like Sharp Guy, I usually get my parts from Autozone. 98% of the time there are no problems. The only real problems I’ve had from Autozone parts was a water pump that had a hole in the metal from the casting process, and a couple of bad electronic type parts (sensors, relays, etc.)

Q: Where to find discount on car Insurance?
Hello,

I am too tight to pay to car insurance companies, looking for chear auto insurance but ofcourse good company who can take care of my car, some discount on insurance policy will be welcome.

A: Most insurance carriers will automatically give you every discount you are entitled to, but it doesn’t hurt to ask just to make sure you are getting them all.

Discounts are given if you have multiple cars, if you own your home and bundle your homeowners and auto, among other qualifiers.

To get the best rates, use an independent agent that isn’t tied to one big box company, and let him do the searching among his possibilities in the data base to get the best deal for the money.

Q: When your 18 and still in high school, does the car insurance company still check your grades for a discount?
My younger sister recently turned 18 and got her license. She’s in dying need of insurance but she’s a D average student and ashamed to show her grades. Does the car insurance discount still apply to students who are 18?

A: I’m in CA and I think you are referring to the “good student discount”. Insurance companies don’t check your grades for discounts, for the most part they won’t even bring up the subject. You have to provide them with proof of your good grades (ex…copy of a transcript, report card, etc). Then they will reduce your premium by a certain percent. If you don’t provide proof, they will not apply the discount to your insurance premium. Your younger sister will pay her regular rate….which since she recently just got her license…will be a bit high….even more so if she plans on insuring a newer vehicle with physical damage coverage.

Hope this helped in some way….

Best regards

Q: What can’t i get a discount on my car insurance because God is watching over me?
Since god is watching me, i have a less likely chance of having a car accident so should’nt this mean i should get a discount because i have god on my side?

A: i just know that this isn’t going to convince any insurers but you may try.

Q: Car Discount For People With State Assistance?
Does anyone now how you can get a discount when buying a car if you have medicaid or other finanical assistance.something to fill out or show..ive heard someone people doing this, especcialy in auctions but i just cant find out how..thanks in advance.

A: There is no such discount.

Q: Do know any online discount car parts stores?
I took my car to a honda dealership. They want $400 to fix a master switch in a 96′ Honda accord.
seems outrageous.

I am going to order the part from online. Know a good place to order it?

help!

A: Here are three. There are dozens more. Just as an FYI if they’re replacing the complete switch assembly the price for the part alone is about $150. Add a few hours labor to disassemble your steering column to get to the wiring and $400 might actually be a very fair price. Get some estimates at an independent garage who usually are a bit cheaper than a dealer.

Q: Where do you find these vouchers for car rental discount?
Well im going on holiday to Portugal again, every time we go car rental is a must so when we book the car most websites give you an option to reedem vouchers. All these years flying and renting cars and i never seen 1 of the so called discount vouchers an helpers please.

A: Even if you do find some voucher codes for car rental discounts, it’s still worth shopping around for the best prices.

Every time I’ve bought car rental, http://www.Auto-Europe.com have pretty much always listed the lowest prices and I have bought multiple times through them.

Auto Europe are perhaps not as far ahead as they used to be, in terms of pricing (due to increased competition?), but they are always the website I visit first.

Q: Does anybody have any experience of a company called DISCOUNT CAR LEASING?
I am considering using these people as their quote is the best, but I am so wary of scams these days that I just wondered if anybody out there has used them and, if so, was it a good or bad experience?
Thank you.

Please email me as you seem to be very helpful and know a bit about this and have helped me before..
Thanks. Sue.

A: I cannot tell you about this company, I have checked them on the Internet though and would ask you to check the following.

1) They quote a monthly price. . but for how many months. For example on a 24 month contract the do not say whether it is 3 months down followed by 21 or 24 months, or maybe the ‘up front payment is different again.

2)You will almost certainly find that you are responsible for the condition of the car at the end of the contract. Look at the 36 month price of the Land Rover TD Adventurer. . it is very low. . but they are there to make money and you must ask yourself How do they do it?

3)Check the excess mileage charges carefully, when you have a nice new car it is always tempting to use more than you think.

4)They say they are not car salesmen but financial experts. Well, if they know nothing about cars how do they maintain them?

Lastly if you have a good credit rating, go to major Finance houses, Lombard North Central, UDT, LLoyds TSB and others, (shop around) and ask them their best rate per thousand over however many years. Tell them you want to own the equity in the car at the end of the deal, they will give you 95%.

Then find the best price for the car you want from, the main dealers and see how much it will cost per month.

And you will have the best deal.

Good luck,

Q: To apply for good grades discount for car insurance, is it necessary to send a school transcript immediately?
My parents are switching their auto insurance company and want me to apply for the good grades discount. I’ve researched that most insurance companies will only accept a 3.0 GPA and higher. The problem here is that I currently have a 2.7 from messing up last semester and wanted to make it up without my parents knowing. What I want to know is that will auto insurance companies allow me to apply for the good grades discount at any time or is it a one time deal. Thankyou!

A: You could probably get away with giving the insurance company a copy of your grades from the semester before this current one. OR you could have a school administrator or principal fill out a discount form (provided by your insurance agent) that shows your current grades. Just ask your agent if they have a form you can use.

Most companies require proof within 30 days of getting the discount.

Q: Will I lose my No Claims Discount if my car was stolen?
Will I lose my No Claims Discount if my car was stolen? Or, for example, if it was a hit on a parking — clearly not by me and I am not guilty? Or I got into accident which I wasn’t the cause of? It’s all about the UK if it matters.

A: If you file a claim for the stolen car….yes, you will lose your “no claims” discount. That’s because you filed a claim. Therefore, no more “no claims” discount.

Q: expected discount off new car in South Australia?
I want to buy a new car for cash, the dealer has the model & colour in stock that has been used as a demo model it has 200 km mileage, what $ discount can I expect off the driveaway price of $34,590 paid in cash? Honest, intelligent answers from South Aussies greatly appreciated!! Thank you.

A: you could push for 5-10% of the original purchase price, but if you want to really go hard, the vehicle is second hand, 10-25% of new prices. I live in S.A as well and always push as far as I can. If you have the cash you have bargaining power, if they won’t drop to where you reasonably want, try another dealer. Oh cars are cheaper between Elizabeth and Gawler, but you can get some good deals a little further north as well have a look in the lower Flinders ranges region. good luck

Q: I get an employee discount on a new car. What does 1% over invoice mean?
I’m planning on getting a new car (Mazda6) in the next few months and I get an employee discount at the local Mazda dealer for 1% over invoice. I’ve never thought about it, but what does that mean? My natural assumption is that the price would be 1% more than the manufacturing price of the car, but I’m not sure if I’m right.

A: I’ve never gotten employee pricing but my guess that it’s calculated as a percent of MSRP that is added to invoice price, which is more money than simply taking 1% of invoice price.

So, if MSRP is $30,000 your price is 1% x $30K = $300 over whatever the invoice price is.

Q: Can I get a discount on car insurance with a motorcycle no claims bonus?
I passed my CBT 3 years and and passed my full motorcycle test 2 years ago. I have never had any claims or convictions. Tomorrow I will hopefully be passing my practical car test. I want to know if there are any insurers that will take my motorcycle no claims into consideration when quoting me for car insurance so that I can get it cheaper.

A: it depends entirely on the insurer. a good broker may be able to get you a better no claims bonus allowance but as its not a car they can refuse. i got a 2 year introductory bonus for driving a company vehicle for 4 years before i got my own car.
ask .. u have nothing to lose but in cases like this a good local broker you can chat to may be best bet rather than online.

Q: Are there any tools to save all my various car rental discount codes?
I have car rental discount codes from AAA, Costco, my employer, my credit card issuers, etc. etc., etc.
Is there some tool or profile where I can save all those the various Hertz, Avis, and Enterpise codes I have so that when I try to price out a rental car I get the best price? I think most of the online booking engines only allow one discount code per rental car company, but surely someone has some sort of profile or tool available for this.
Thanks

A: It would sure be great if someone did have a tool or profile to do that. I have all my codes listed in notepad on my computer, categorized by company. I just pull it up when I’m checking rates, and cut and paste a code in, check the rate, go back, plug in another code, check the rate, etc, etc. It is tiresome!
